Ingest From Selection allows you to select items on a contact sheet and Ingest only those files, (including Catalog-based contact sheets for Photo Mechanic Plus users). You can also use Ingest from Selection to open selected files from mounted camera cards.
To enable Ingest from Selection for mounted cards, you first have to change your preferences.
- Navigate to Preferences.
- Select the General tab.
- Under "On mount of Camera Disk' choose Open as contact sheet(s).
Once you've done this, mounting a card in your card reader will open a contact sheet, and you can select one or more images. You can use File> Ingest From Selection to ingest those images.
